Rachel Anderson, Orwell Youth Prize

Rachel Anderson, textile artist. On the 4th March, at University of Hull the Orwell Youth Prize led a ‘Future Forum’ event in which young people came together to debate key issues affecting their futures. The Orwell Youth prize is an annual award for young people across the UK for political writing. The event was documented by Evan Chapman and Rachel Anderson on behalf of The Critical Fish. Evan is studying ‘A’ levels at Beverley Combined Sixth Form and Rachel, a textile artist, recently graduated from Hull School of Art and Design. We are pleased to feature photographs of Rachel’s embroidery, which she produced on the day, and Evan’s photography and report of the event. This launches a ‘young people’s’ section of ‘The Critical Fish’.
